Viktoria Pilsen esport team became the first DATART e:LIGA champion

On Sunday, January 12^th, the best FIFA players representing the colours of 16 FORTUNA:LIGA clubs presented themselves at the UNYP Arena in Prague, where they competed for the first champion title. The organizers have built the biggest stage ever available for the FIFA players in the Czech Republic. The top four teams divided the total prize money of CZK 150,000 and took all valuable points into the prestigious Global Series from EA, which they can only earn within the Czech Republic in DATART e:LIGA, organized by the Czech League Football Association. The biggest stars of the FIFA20 esport players have been watched by a record number of fans on live streaming broadcasts throughout the final online day in the Czech Republic.

The Sunday finals began early in the morning with the group stage, where teams in four groups fought to qualification to the knockout stage. Later champion from Pilsen started slower, after a close win with Ceske Budejovice loose to Slavia and Viktoria faced a surprising elimination in the last match of Group D. They were even losing 1:2 to the matches In the series with Opava, then T9Laky levelled the match and his teammate pikej turned the last match as well as the whole serie. And thanks to Slavia won another balanced match with Ceske Budejovice, Pilsen went to the quarterfinals, too.

Group C without an significant favourite was dominated by Baník and the second place was led by a direct battle between Bohemians and Jablonec. Bohemians team secured their ticket for the knockout phase of DATART e:LIGA with the tightest 3:2 result for matches, despite losing 0:2.

A surprise was certainly the elimination of Teplice team already in the Group A, from which went Moravian units of Zlin and Olomouc through to the quarterfinals. On the other hand, there was a dominant Spartan duo Emerickson – sirisetsedm in the group B, who lost only three of the fifteen matches in the group and suddenly became the main candidates for the title, performed their masterful performance in the group stage.

However, the role of the favourite took over very soon when the fearless couple of Olomouc RealDanek - BR1CK opposed Sparta and the biggest surprise of the tournament came to lite. In the next quarterfinals everything went as expected, as well as in the semi-finals, when RIIJK & kobbycz in jersey of Slavia Prague beat the fifth rival in a row and after a convincing performance the duo of Pilsen secure the ticket to the grand finale, too.

After a long twelve hours, the teams of Pilsen and Slavia met once again in the DATART e:LIGA final match. The equal series brought a lot of twists. “The Victorians” led in the final series already by 2:0 and they did not take advantage of the matchpoint in the duel 2v2 and the decisive point was not unexpectedly added by the current best player of the Czech FIFA scene T9Laky. However pikej showed a spectacular performance in the fight for everything against otherwise great kobbycz and decided on the first title for the Pilsen team FCVP Esport.
