“We all
watch with excitement what is happening here and around the world. In this
period, league football always offered people the emotions that fans currently
miss. We believe that the virtual matches of league stars will find their
audience. At the same time, thanks to him we have the opportunity to remotely
help. Thus, the winning player will provide the club with the ability to
identify a children's home or another organization into which the LFA Green
Life Endowment will fund the purchase of protective and medical equipment,” says
Daniel Hajny, LFA's Sales and Marketing Director.
PlayStation
is for many players the ideal medium to relax in their free time. Therefore, it
is no coincidence that there are several very efficient "gamers" among
league footballers who would not get lost even in the world of esport. This is
proved by the participation of Karel Knejzlik in the final of the recent DATART
e:LIGA, where he represented his parent club Slovan Liberec, or eventually the
unsuccessful effort of Lukas Zeleznik to make it to the grand finals at that
time still in the jersey of Fastav Zlin.
Vít Beneš,
the current Sigma Olomouc captain, also has rich experience with the FIFA game.
“I'm glad LFA came up with this idea. We are all worried about what is
happening around us and I believe that not only we will have fun at the
tournament, but we will also offer some positive energy to all fans. If we
can't show them anything on the lawn, we'll try it at least online,” Benes
praises the Datart e:LIGA Challenge idea.
Players
will play from their homes and join online. Liberec's Karel Knejzlik is also
looking forward to a new challenge, but he rejects the role of the tournament's
favourite. “We only learned the nomination of the clubs this week and I don't
know what to expect from the guys. Of course, it will be mainly fun, on the
other hand, each of us want to succeed. Moreover, we all start with a level
playing field, so the art with the controller really decides. I can't wait
anymore,” Knejzlik looks forward to a prestigious duel with a rival representative
in the basic group. In the imaginary derby he will play against Jan Matousek from
FK Jablonec.
In the
first phase of the Datart e:LIGA Challenge, players will compete in four groups
by playing against each other twice in two match days. The top two players from
each three-member group will qualify to the classic playoffs, which will take
place in mid-April with the BO3 system (two winning matches decides). All
matches will be played on equal terms, as it will be played in the 85rated kick-off
format, which is based on the rule that opponents choose a club from the game
before the match, and the players then artificially receive equal qualities of
all parameters compared to level 85.
The Datart
e:LIGA Challenge champion will be known on Saturday, April 18th, and
its parent club will decide together with the player which organization and for
what purpose will be spend that 100,000 CZK as a donation by the Czech League
Football Association. Besides LFA, the tournament will also be supported by commercial
partners Datart and PlayStation. All Datart e:LIGA Challenge matches can be
seen on the league social networks or on the project website www.e-liga.cz.
