The League Football Association, which is the organizer of the most prestigious tournament of the Czech EA SPORTS FIFA scene, managed to attract a significantly large audience to the attractive e:LEAGUE this year. "For this edition we changed the game format, which brought more emotions and positive feedback from the players and partners. There were more matches and tournaments and associated streams. At the same time, we see a positive development in our clubs, where e:LEAGUE is playing a guiding role in building esports divisions that bring a slightly different visibility to clubs, a different audience and often new partners from other areas," explained LFA Sales and Marketing Director Daniel Hajný.
Final Standings of e:LEAGUE 2021/22
- FC Baník Ostrava (Dalas, Totikjepan)
- FCVP Esport (T9Laky, Huhnak)
- MFK Karviná (Miki, DRMi)
- FC FASTAV Zlín (Marioooso, Matko)
The winning pair of Baník players won a very nice financial prize in the total amount of 80 thousand crowns and will compete against each other for one seat in the qualification of the prestigious international tournament EA SPORTS FIFA 22 Global Series Playoffs. "The final match was a huge nerve-wracking and I'm incredibly happy that I managed to make a decision already on the first match point and didn't have to go into a decisive battle with Laki, where it would have been very difficult," said Ostrava's Martin "Dalas" Vujtík enthusiastically immediately after winning the trophy. Both players are also big fans of the Silesian club, which gave them a lot of energy in the decisive phase of the e:LEAGUE. "We are very happy that we managed to win the trophy for Baník, moreover in the year of the club's anniversary. We believe that it will kick-start the whole esport division in our club," added the Baník player nicknamed Dalas.
It was Dalas who succeeded in the duel against his teammate Totik in the extra Bo2 match. He won 8:2 and secured one spot in the EA SPORTS FIFA 22 Global Series Playoffs where competitors have a chance to qualify for the FIFAe World Cup Final.
The experienced player of Plzeň T9Laky had to bow down to his opponent in the finals, when he lost to Totik in overtime in the crucial third game of the final series. The Pilsen player and his FCVP Esport team thus came in second place, thus completing the medal collection. The West Bohemians were not missing in the TOP3 in any of the three e:LEAGUE seasons. "Even though it ended unluckily for us, I really enjoyed this year's e:LEAGUE. I'm glad that we managed to organize it as a long-term competition, which we as players were calling for. I never expected it to be like this, but as Plzeň we are historically the most successful football club in the field of esports in our country. Still, I'm sorry today that we missed out on the trophy and the opportunity to compete in the Global Series," lamented Lukáš "Laky" Pour, the best Czech player in Pilsen's service. In the match for the third place the representatives of Zlín dominated, who did not give a chance to Karviná, in whose jersey this year played the defender of last year's gold Miki.
