LFA will organize attractive Football Days for Ukrainian children
The League for Ukraine event will take place in several locations across the Czech Republic. "We are currently working intensively on preparations so that we can announce all the dates as soon as possible. We will allocate funds from our Green Life Foundation to organize the football days and at the same time we believe that our league partners will also participate in the event," said Daniel Hajný, LFA's Sales and Marketing Director, about the preparations.
The main activity for Ukrainian children will be an organized training on the playground, which will be complemented by various football and other sports attractions. The day's programme will then culminate in a football tournament and a visit to a league match. "We hope to offer the children an entertaining programme that will allow them to put away thoughts of the disaster in their homeland, at least for a short time. The "League for Ukraine" event will not be age-limited and thanks to the cooperation with the "Children of Ukraine" Foundation we can count on the participation of several dozens of children in each location," explained Štěpán Hanuš, Director of Communications and PR of the League Football Association.
In addition to these one-time football days, the League Football Association decided to offer tickets to league matches to Ukrainian families who had to flee to the Czech Republic because of the war conflict. "We know that several Czech clubs have already made a similar offer. Thanks to the contractual relationship with individual clubs, the LFA has a certain number of free tickets which will now be given to the Ukrainian refugees," added Daniel Hajný.
The LFA is implementing the project with the "Children of Ukraine" Foundation, which focuses on the education of Ukrainian children under 17 years of age. "We thank the League Football Association for offering tickets to football matches and sports programmes for Ukrainian refugee children and youth! The possibility of after-school programmes is great for children, healthy movement and fun contribute to everyone's overall well-being, not to mention the need to overcome the bad experiences of the previous days and return to at least a somewhat normal life as soon as possible," added Martin Mařan, coordinator of the "Children of Ukraine" Foundation.
