The new FORTUNA:LIGA and FORTUNA:NATIONAL LEAGUE 2023/24 season is getting closer every day, with less than a month until its start. However, the League Football Association, together with the Sportbiz platform, has decided to put a festive finishing touch to the last season. The 30 years of Football League conference was held in the unique Cargo Gallery ship.

"Through the conference, we wanted to thank all the clubs and partners once again for their cooperation in a season that, apart from the challenges, brought a number of positive changes and innovations and moved the Czech football forward again. In addition to the meeting, we also wanted to educate each other, which I believe both the workshop and the panel discussions helped," said LFA Sales and Marketing Director Daniel Hajný about the event, whose main topics were marketing, PR and work with fans.

During the morning closed workshop, the League Football Association prepared a presentation for representatives of FORTUNA:LIGA and FORTUNA:NATIONAL LEAGUE clubs, in which they not only reported the previous year, but also presented the changes and innovations that are planned and ready for the upcoming 2023/24 season.

In the afternoon, the event continued with panel discussions. The Czech session judged the 30 years of the independent Czech league and assessed the changes that the LFA and the biggest clubs have undergone, particularly in recent years, in terms of infrastructure, working with fans, digital, CSR and business development.

The LFA was represented in discussion by Daniel Hajný and three other speakers came from the Czech biggest clubs, Kamil Veselý, Marketing Director of Sparta Prague, Michal Býček, Marketing and PR Director of Slavia Prague and Jaromír Hamouz, Sales and Marketing Manager of Viktoria Plzeň.

"We at the LFA and the representatives of the biggest domestic clubs gave an insight into their work, which I believe was not only interesting but also inspirative for the guests. It was also evident from the statistics and information presented how football is rapidly evolving in the marketing and PR field and the need to capture these trends. So, I believe that the conference was the right trigger and motivation for many to continue their work," described Hajný.

The conference agenda ended with a foreign session, where three distinguished guests from abroad spoke. Alejandro Scannapieco, CEO of LaLiga Tech, Seb Lear, representative of InCrowd, an agency that works with Premier League clubs, and Kirsten Willem, Director of Communications at Club Brugge.

"It was an honor to perform at such an event. Moreover, the situation in Czech football is very similar to Belgium. We also have several big clubs and a lot of smaller clubs that work with fewer people. But it is important for these clubs to try to push themselves and be innovative in communication and marketing. Often perhaps in the form of original ideas that may not even cost that much money," said Club Brugge's Communications Director Kirsten Willem.

The event finished with award of the Lucas Pribyl Award for the teams that worked best with fans and were the most innovative in marketing and PR. The main award was won by Sparta Prague for the fifth time in a row. Slavia Prague won the new minor category, which was announced for the first time ever and which recognized the clubs with the best approach to away supporters.
